From Bangkok Airport
For those departing from Bangkok, the best option is to fly to Samui International Airport. Several airlines offer direct flights, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once landed, visitors can use taxis or shuttle services to reach the various locations on the island.
Alternatively, you can fly to Surat Thani Airport and then take a bus or taxi to the port. From there, you can take a ferry to Koh Samui, a journey that takes about 1,5 hours.
From Surat Thani
From Surat Thani Airport, travelers can take a taxi or bus to board at the port. The ferry offers a direct connection to Koh Samui, usually with regular departures.
The ferry ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. This method is very popular among tourists who also visit nearby islands, such as Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
